Teens Go Green not only raises awareness on environmental issues, but also works with many other non-profit organizations in the community. We strongly recommend you learn more about these groups and the amazing things they’re doing.
IDEAS for US
Teens Go Green President Elizabeth Tran and Nika Hosseini are working with IDEAS, Intellectual Decisions on Environmental Awareness Solutions, for our project SPLASH, Solar Purification for Lives of All through Sanitation and Health. We are bringing Aquasolve’s POND system, a solar powered water purification system to a village in Kiburara, Uganda. Our project will be shared at the Clinton Global Initiative University in March and we will be able to meet Bill and Chelsea Clinton and share our project with other college students around the world. St. Paul’s College Green Club
Teens Go Green is excited to establish its first international partnership with St. Paul’s College Green Club in Hong Kong! Elizabeth Tran met the Chairman Chan Chak Yu Ludovic at the Disney Friends for Change Kids and Nature Celebration. In addition to making the school more environmentally aware such as having a Green Week, they also work with the other green schools in Hong Kong. They have made initiatives such as Plant your Plant and we look forward to working with them more in the future!
Clean the World
Clean the World is a non profit organization with a mission to reduce the amount of waste in landfills and to prevent the millions of deaths caused by hygiene related illnesses. They follow this by recycling, refurbishing, and distributing soap from hotels that would have otherwise been thrown away and give it to children in third world countries and domestic shelters.
Teens Go Green first met them in Central Florida Earth Day 2009 when they made bubbles out of recycled soap. They worked with them more in 2012, taking part in Super Soapy Saturdays, attending Clean the World social events, distributing soap and hygiene kits to those in need, and even interning in their offices.
Please visit their website if you’re interested in volunteering or building hygiene kits: http://www.cleantheworld.org/
Give Kids the World
Give Kids the World is a non-profit organization that gives terminally-ill children a stress-free week vacation in Orlando, and enjoy theme parks such as Disney World, Universal Studios, and more. They accommodate many of the Make A Wish children that wish to go to Disney.
When Teens Go Green went volunteering together at GKTW, they realized the importance of incorporating service into the environmental mission. Every year, GKTW has a table next to TGG at the Spring Carnival before Easter and we raise funds for them through our eco-games.
TGG also participates in their celebratory events such as the 25th Anniversary and Grand Opening of the Star Tower, and the GKTW Black and White Gala.
Best Buddies
Best Buddies creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Every year they host a Best Buddies Friendship Ball in Orlando. Teens Go Green donates recycled crowns and trophies for their Homecoming King and Queen competition, in addition to judging it. Teens Go Green is very proud to support such a heart-warming event and organization.
H.O.P.E. and Pageant Pants
Get REAL is a non profit organization that spreads awareness of eating disorders. Led by one of my biggest role models Allison Kreiger Walsh, Miss Florida 2006, I have been inspired to also help by collecting and recycling gently-used jeans for their jean drive and raise funds for their organization.
For my Sweet 16, instead of receiving gifts I collected $15 donations to Get REAL. It raised about $1,000 for the organization. I was honored to receive the HOPE Youth Leader of the Year award for my efforts at their annual golf tournament.
I also played on their information video sent to 7,000 schools in Florida and featured on Local 6 News.
Dress For Success
Dress for Success is a non-profit organization that gives business suits to women in rehabilitation centers, shelters, and in need to get back into the work field.
Teens Go Green has collected for suits for Dress for Success since 2008. Suit drives have been done at Mrs. Florida International, Ms. Corporate America, and Princess Party. We love incorporating a recycling component to a great cause.

Thank you to the following supporters of Teens Go Green, Model4Miracles, and Miss Miracle Charity Pageant!
Chick-fil A of Sand Lake Road
Chick-fil A surprised Elizabeth Tran at Miss Miracle Charity Pageant by having the cow model at the fashion show! Since then, they’ve been huge supporters of our events. We can go there to host trophy recycling charity events and raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through Project Moo.
Disney Friends for Change
Disney Friends for Change gave TGG the experience of a lifetime. Elizabeth Tran met Jane Goodall and many Disney Channel stars. She was also featured on Good Morning America and interviewed on Local 6 news. The opportunity lead TGG to have international partnerships, donate 700 hygiene kits to Oklahoma tornado victims, and work with the Natural Leaders Network.
Supermodels Unlimited Magazine
Supermodels Unlimited Magazine share the culture and insight of modeling and pageantry. They gave Elizabeth Tran the opportunity to be the Green Columnist for their national publication by writing suggestions on how to be more environmentally efficient in the modeling industry. The magazine has also promoted Teens Go Green on several occasions, but moreover contributes to the Miss Miracle Charity Pageant by awarding the winners a cover shoot on their magazine.
Fox 35 and Valerie Boey
Thank you Valerie Boey and Fox 35 for always being supportive of the Miss Miracle Charity Pageant and all of Teens Go Green’s service events.
